Chapter One

A story of hope, by: Hope's Farm Haiti

Hope's Farm Haiti Artwork

A story of Hope, featuring Evens Paul; our first fundraising collection to equip a partner initiative called Hope’s Farm Haiti. Just as one might sponsor a child or family, our Chapters program takes a creative stance to sponsor an impactful entrepreneurial initiative through the development of quality merchandise, content and community.

We believe that investing in the smaller community founded programs with big dreams provides the best balance of drive and preservation; so it remains unique and impactful at the same time.

We will work with Evens to launch a non-profit operation called Hope’s Farm Haiti; a story that has been in the works for a few years now. Hope’s Farm’s goal in the Haiti division is to empower and equip the local families with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the mentality to teach a man to fish. Fortunately for the Haiti division, it’s more of upgrading the reel and putting the line back in the water.

While working with Evens over the years, we have seen the ebb and flow of well-intended ideas lacking the necessary resources to make a sustainable impact. This is a critical place for an organization like us to step in. We are here to partner alongside him as an outlet for funding and forming the Hope’s Farm division launch in the rural mountainside of Northeast Haiti. Here is the mission:

“Bringing life to communities where Hope is lost. Developing sustainable farmland production in communities, rooted in the Gospel with a mix of modern technology and ancient principles.”

Farming runs deep in Haiti’s blood. Agriculture is the largest sector of the Haitian economy, employing roughly two-thirds of the labor force but accounts for only about one-fourth of the gross domestic product (GDP). It wasn't until later in this century that this specialized skill was shadowed to the public eye. For most of the country's life, “Organic” was the norm, that’s all they ever knew.

One of the best ways we can impact poverty is by looking past the physical poverty of a nation to see the unique giftedness of each one of God’s creations. As Basylee Eby states in her post, Charity vs Empowerment:

“Instead of perpetuating a system of dependency based on charitable donations, those seeking to help the poor need a framework of partnership.”

That’s exactly what this artwork expresses. A framework that illustrates pursuit, empowerment and unity. So distant from a donation! Taking back the roots that once ingrained in this community. Opposite to the practice of altering community language to ‘best practices’, this artwork preserves the common greeting heard amongst Haiti; “Nap Boule”, meaning “Keep Fighting”. Just what we focus our partnership on. Empowering the community to restore its sustainability. A fight that we are happy to join in.

Collection Products

Are you tired of the bogus promotions, mass marketing and short-cut sales tactics?

We are.

So you won't find any of that here. We don't want to blast out ads across every single device, every hour of the day- just because that's what everyone else does. Where is the integrity there?

We won't pump a ton of money into ruthless marketing tactics to drive our sales higher and prices lower. Price promotions kill brands and create bad behaviors for buyers in the long run. That creates a volatile market for small business and non-profit sectors; where these companies should thrive on mission value. We aim to build recession-proof pricing that positions our mission values ahead of price propositions. Those principles apply for our partners and us- in the form of good design and subtle marketing tactics; acknowledging constraints as a great thing!

Good design takes time and an educated audience. We are working hard to create a passionate community of creators and partners that want to do things differently. Our passion lies in creating opportunity behind purpose driven products. That's what you are buying into here.

We put a ton of time, effort and collaboration into our products. Our prices reflect that. Our community earns that- and we don't discount that! What you can find here is purpose driven design that we hope you enjoy repping as much as we do! Is that worth buying into?
