Matthew 25:14-30

Aug 14, 2019

In Dorothy Sayers excerpt on purposeful work, she writes:

“That it should, in fact, be thought of as a creative activity undertaken for the love of the work itself; and that man, made in God’s image, should make things, as God makes them, for the sake of doing well a thing that is well worth doing.”

God has created every person in his image. As God’s image-bearers, each individual carries with them unique talents and gifts God has given them to steward. These gifts paint a different picture for each of us, but scripture reiterates that God intends that we use these gifts well.

Did you feel the drastic difference in tone?

"Well done, done good and faithful servant."
"You wicked and slothful servant!"

Jesus himself delivers a rash message to the servant who does not profit! We were not made to simply marvel at humanity and bury our talents.

When resources are used in a way that benefits others, everyone prospers. Ultimately, an entrepreneurial project benefits the community as a whole because the end result is a product that prices reveal to be valuable.

Here’s the kicker- making money should not be the primary purpose of the business.

As creators and entrepreneurs we should work hard to bring profit so that we can make an opportunity for others to live up to their God-given potential.

For the digital creators out there- this design visualizes working in vector programs. The Profit layer is selected with the cursor on the letter R. This effect draws initial focus on the “R", circling back to this message that we ARE called to bring profit to our communities as believers.

Are you tired of the bogus promotions, mass marketing and short-cut sales tactics?

We are.

So you won't find any of that here. We don't want to blast out ads across every single device, every hour of the day- just because that's what everyone else does. Where is the integrity there?

We won't pump a ton of money into ruthless marketing tactics to drive our sales higher and prices lower. Price promotions kill brands and create bad behaviors for buyers in the long run. That creates a volatile market for small business and non-profit sectors; where these companies should thrive on mission value. We aim to build recession-proof pricing that positions our mission values ahead of price propositions. Those principles apply for our partners and us- in the form of good design and subtle marketing tactics; acknowledging constraints as a great thing!

Good design takes time and an educated audience. We are working hard to create a passionate community of creators and partners that want to do things differently. Our passion lies in creating opportunity behind purpose driven products. That's what you are buying into here.

We put a ton of time, effort and collaboration into our products. Our prices reflect that. Our community earns that- and we don't discount that! What you can find here is purpose driven design that we hope you enjoy repping as much as we do! Is that worth buying into?
